The game is great. I especially like the encouragement of the virtual trainer. My only problem is that the Eye Toy is a quirky bit of equipment. And don't even think about trying to play the game without the full vision lens, because I did that and made myself sick.

Really, I was looking for something I could use with my PS3 and found this. Fortunately, I have one of the old PS3's that is backwards compatible with PS2 games.

I wanted to write this review from the standpoint of comparing the PlayStation 3 to the Xbox 360. now I own both systems but I play the PS3 more (mostly because I'm a quadriplegic and I can't really use the Xbox 360 controller) if you want to see me playing with my face search AskACapper on YouTube.

PROs Of the PlayStation 3
1. user upgradable hard drive: this to me is one of the biggest pros of the PS3 adding your own hard drive. So you can buy the 80 GB version or the 160 GB version and by a 500 GB plus our drive off the Internet for less than $100 and pop it in your PlayStation and you're good to go, so easy it should be illegal!
2. Included Blu-ray player that you can upgrade the firmware on: When I got my PlayStation many of the blue Ray players on the market wouldn't allow you to flash the firmware so as they revised the Blu-Ray standard those players became obsolete. And my thinking is that if you spend $100 plus on a Blu-Ray player why not drop another $150 plus and get a full-fledged PlayStation that can be upgraded.
3. Free PlayStation network: now it is true that the PlayStation network is free the basic network at least. Then they have the PlayStation plus network that cost 50+ a year. Now with the basic free networking of the PlayStation network unlike Xbox live you can't have a buddy list and play with your friends. I like the fact that I don't have to spend $50 a year to play with my buddies.
4. It can be a media server with simple software you can buy online: I have a Mac and use media link software (Google media link) it cost 20 bucks and now I can stream/copy movies and music and pictures from my Mac to my PlayStation 3 it's very cool.
5. Offers folding@home: now this is a huge selling point but I think it's cool! Folding@home is a distributed computing project by Stanford University that deals with protein folding and uses your PlayStation to help the scientists work on understanding how these work. So when you're not using your PlayStation for gaming you can turn on folding in the life with PlayStation application and you'll contribute to helping science! (My PS3 has contributed almost 2000 work units at six hours a pop it's been working hard)

PROs of the xBox360
1. Xbox live is just better: while the PlayStation network is free while the basic version anyway. And allow you to do things that Xbox live won't for free the Xbox live network is just better. Simply for the fact that you can send voice messages, you can follow people who are your friends into games (great for if you want to follow a booster in modern warfare 2 and keep on hunting). The only drawback is that it will cost you $40-$60 a year (depending on where you buy your card).
2. Most of the game industry and big time YouTube commentators use Xbox 360: now this is a huge factor if you want to play with the big boys. If you follow Machinima respawn and have directors on there you want a game with most of the time they're playing on Xbox 360. This to me is a large reason to get the Xbox 360 over the PS3.
3. It can be a media center for free: now this is not something that I know or have done but I do believe and please correct me if I'm wrong but the Xbox 360 can stream media from your Windows PC with no extra software required (whereas with the Mac you need to buy $20-$30 software).
4.The Xbox 360 slim as built in WiFi: before this slim was for sale you need to spend $70-$90 to get WiFi for the Xbox 360 and that would have been a pro for the PS3 as it has always had WiFi built in. But now with the slim with its lower price and built in WiFi this becomes a pro of the Xbox 360.
5. MODz: When it comes to modding I believe Xbox has done more options available and a much larger community. From just being able to modd your controller to full on system modification the Xbox is way easier to get into (now remember mobbing your Xbox could get you booted from Xbox live and a permanent ban hammer!)

So these are my five bullet points of proz for both systems. My preference is PS3 but that's because I can hold the controller best and still play with my face. And my father and brother and many friends play PS3 and don't have an Xbox. Now if I could get a PS3 shaped Xbox controller I would spend more time playing Xbox so that I can play with the many YouTube commentators that I know and love.

That is my 69¢ I hope you have enjoyed reading this if you haven't you must be illiterate. check out my YouTube videos and please support the "custom button remapping petition" that will help disabled gamers and non-disabled gamers alike.

I am Chuck the Capper And I approve this message LOL!

This game is priced far too high for what you get. There just isn't that much content. It should be a $24.99 retail, not $49.99. It's not very fun to steer. There's also a lack of accelerating and breaking. This game should have just been a bundled game with the Kinect.

I have used both Kinetic and a Nintendo Wii. In my opinion Kinetic is a better workout than anything on the Wii (not including Wii Fit which I do not yet have). When I first bought Kinetic I had so much fun working out that I overdid it and could not walk properly for a week.

This is a really amazing game, especially when you consider the price. Yes, you will have to spend some time setting it up and it may not work for every room. You are not getting the quality of a blue screen. But at less than $30 for the eye toy and Kinetic and the cost of a playstation 2 this is a GREAT buy. It is a great buy at twice the price. It is so awesome that I want to get a PAL playstation 2 in order to play Kinetic Combat.

Some of you may recall that Kinect Joy Ride was originally supposed to premiere as a free game for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers; however, that changed when it got pulled into the Kinect lineup. While they have expanded the game beyond what was originally intended, it is still hard to justify the $50.00 price tag for what is offered on the disc.

The controls for Joy Ride require that you stand up for the duration of the game and they hold onto an imaginary steering wheel to control. Flips and other stunts are accomplished by twisting and turning your body off of jumps. While fun for a while, soon I was left wanting to sit back down and relax. However, as far as interactive entertainment racing goes, this is quite fun. Add in your friends or family and it is more enjoyable. Additionally, a nice touch is that Joy Ride offers (along with Kinect Sports & Adventures) is the use of KinectShare.com to share photos of you failing your arms about on Facebook.

I didn't really notice any lag while driving, but overall I would still say that steering an imaginary vehicle is hard to accomplish, but that may just take for time. It's hard to understand why Joy Ride doesn't offer speed control over the vehicles when the E3 promo video for Kinect had shown the player placing a leg forward or backwards to speed up or slow down. Maybe that is not possible since they reduced the quality of the Kinect Sensor camera to get production costs down, but I really have no clue.

The weirdest thing about JoyRide is that the entire game is only 1.5 GB in size. Given that some Xbox LIVE Arcade titles (i.e. Lara Croft: GoL) far exceed that size, I do not know why this simply could not have been a $15 arcade title (and it probably should have been). There is only a small selection of cars and tracks, but being Microsoft, I wouldn't be surprised to see some DLC come down the pipes for this. Ideally, I would really like to see Xbox partner with Hot Wheels to provide digital scans of the cars into the game. (The box states that it has the capacity for object scanning, but Microsoft has yet to reveal how that is to be used, if at all.)

Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who bought a Kinect. It is fun, but whether it is worthy of the price remains to be seen. Ultimately I figure I will have enough enjoyment out of it to justify buying it and I think a lot of people are going to like this game.

I bought the Halo Reach edition with high anticipation. My son really wanted one and I thought it would be good for us. I brought it home did my 30 minutes or so of updates then played Peggle and a few of the other demo's included. I shut it off and went to the store, came back and turned it on and was greeted by the E68 Error and a red light on the power button.I LITERALLY played this console 1 hour and it failed and I am in no way exagerating that.I couldnt even tell you if the DVD drive worked cause it didnt last long enough for me to open it. The worse part was the look on my childs face as I was packeging it back up because he was obviously sad.I am sad to say I returned and got the PS3 Move bundle. I LOVE the Xbox 360 Controller and loved the new look but I cannot spend my hard to come by money on something that apperently still has a high failure rate. Please read Amazon's user reviews and you will know I am not the only one.

Ultimately I figure I will have enough enjoyment out of it to justify buying it and I think a lot of people are going to like this game.

I didn’t really notice any lag while driving, but overall I would still say that steering an imaginary vehicle is hard to accomplish, but that may just take for time. It’s hard to understand why Joy Ride doesn’t offer speed control over the vehicles when the E3 promo video for Kinect had shown the player placing a leg forward or backwards to speed up or slow down.

There is only a small selection of cars and tracks, but being Microsoft, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some DLC come down the pipes for this.

The biggest drawback to this game is that it requires a large room in order to get a good workout. If you stand too close to the camera, then you don't need to jump or reach at all during the game. I solved this problem to some extent by mounting the camera high on the wall and pointing it downwards, but of course that makes the angle a bit wonky.

This game consists of lots of little mini-games, mainly involving bobbles on the screen which do various things, and you either have to hit or dodge. It's more fun than it sounds. It does an excellent job of adjusting to your current ability level and gives you a nice validation of how well you did and how you're progressing.

It doesn't work perfectly, though, whether it's due to bugs or camera problems. A bobble you were supposed to dodge will often get dinged when you were nowhere near it and sometimes you have to hit a bobble over and over before it actually registers. It works more often than not, though, and overall it's a fun way to work out.
